1. Data protection at a glance

General information

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified. For detailed information on data protection, please refer to the privacy policy set out below this text.

Data collection on this website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website? Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator, whose contact details can be found in the section “Information on the responsible party” in this privacy policy.

How do we collect your data? Your data is collected in part by you providing it to us. This may, for example, be data you enter in our contact form. Other data is collected automatically or after your consent when you visit the website, by our IT systems. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of the page view).

What do we use your data for? Some of the data is collected to ensure the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to process your enquiry.

What rights do you have regarding your data? You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can withdraw this consent at any time for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Analytics tools and third-party tools

This website does without analytics, tracking or audience-measurement tools; no profiling takes place. The only third-party tool we embed – solely after your express consent – is the Cal.com booking calendar on the contact page. Details can be found in this privacy policy.

2. Hosting

External hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (Vercel Inc., USA). Delivery takes place via data centres in the Frankfurt am Main region (Germany). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host's servers. This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, and other data generated via a website.

External hosting takes place for the purpose of performing our contract with our potential and existing contacts (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in the interest of secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider. As the provider is based in the USA, any transfer is safeguarded by appropriate measures (EU standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision/Data Privacy Framework, where certified).

3. General information and mandatory information

Data protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. We point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Information on the responsible party

The party responsible for data processing on this website is:

Mila Kostović

Heinrich-Baumann-Str. 35

70190 Stuttgart

Email: hallo@mila-space.com

The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data.

Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for erasure or withdraw consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing your personal data (e.g. tax or commercial retention periods); in the latter case, deletion takes place once these grounds no longer apply.

General information on the legal bases of data processing on this website

If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. If you have consented to access to information on your device, the processing additionally takes place on the basis of Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Where your data is required to perform a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data processing may also take place on the basis of our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Information on the relevant legal basis in each individual case is provided in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.

Recipients of personal data

In the course of our activity we work with various external parties; this sometimes requires the transfer of personal data to these parties. We only pass on personal data where this is necessary to perform a contract, where we are legally obliged to do so, where we have a legitimate interest in doing so, or where another legal basis permits it. When using processors, disclosure only takes place on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. Specifically, these are: Vercel Inc. (hosting), Microsoft Corporation (email delivery) and – only after your consent – Cal.com, Inc. (appointment booking).

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to object to data collection in special cases (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right at any time to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. If you object, we will no longer process your affected personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. This right exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only take place insofar as it is technically feasible.

Information, rectification and erasure

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. For this and for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do so. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request the restriction of processing.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer need your personal data but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of processing instead of erasure.
  • If you have lodged an objection under Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balancing of your and our interests must be carried out. As long as it has not been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of processing.

SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address line changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data collection on this website

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • hostname of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. It is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this, the server log files must be collected.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, the details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there (name, email address and your message), will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The message is delivered to our mailbox via Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Graph) of Microsoft Corporation as a processor.

The processing of this data takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you request its erasure, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Protection against abusive submissions (Vercel BotID)

To protect against automated submissions (spam, bots), when the contact form is submitted we use Vercel BotID – a bot detection technically provided via the service provider Kasada – to check whether the submission originates from an automated system. Technical device and behavioural signals are evaluated for this purpose. The check takes place only on submission of the form. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing spam and abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Enquiry by email

If you contact us by email, your enquiry including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent. Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures; in all other cases on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Plugins and tools

Appointment booking via Cal.com

On our contact page we offer online appointment booking via the Cal.com service (provider: Cal.com, Inc., USA). The booking calendar is loaded only after you have expressly consented (“Load calendar”). Before your consent, no connection to Cal.com is established and no data is transmitted to Cal.com.

After your consent, loading the calendar transmits data to Cal.com, in particular your IP address and browser data as well as the details you enter during booking (e.g. name, email address and preferred appointment). The use of Cal.com is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); loading and the associated access to your device are based on Section 25(1) TDDDG. Any transfer to the USA is safeguarded by appropriate measures (EU standard contractual clauses or Data Privacy Framework, where certified). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future – directly in the calendar view or by clearing the site data in your browser.

So that your decision is not requested again on every visit, we store your consent locally in your browser (localStorage entry “cal-consent”). This storage is technically necessary to implement your choice and therefore takes place without separate consent under Section 25(2) TDDDG; no personal data is transmitted to us or third parties in the process.

Fonts (local embedding)

For the uniform display of typefaces, this website uses the “DM Sans” and “DM Serif Display” fonts. The fonts are embedded locally, integrated into the page at build time and served from our own server. No connection to Google servers or other third parties takes place; no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.

Content management (Sanity)

The content of this website is managed with the Sanity content system and loaded exclusively on the server side. Visitors to the published pages have no direct connection to Sanity; no personal visitor data is transmitted to Sanity in the process.
